Doubt
Admist the
tools within a once forgotten Hell,
Dost Satan
bring to us through the foggy mist of night.
A visitor once
forgotten who demands mind to stop and fear.
For silently,
the tool withdrawn dost quickly
Seize both mind
and soul.
Unrecognized
the deed has had effect,
To render
useless a life so quickly rent.
For soul and
mind on fear entrapped doth dwell.
Believed as
truth, illusion’s had its way.
Why visit me
again ~ Oh dark of doubt?
Knowest not
your fight has long been lost!
No more can you
stay prolonged with me,
Only briefly
visit, and then quickly flee.
Jesus Christ
has called my name
And since that
day, I’m not the same.
Once you had a
hold of me,
But no longer,
for you must flee.
There’s no
place in which to hide,
For in Christ Jesus,
I now abide.
Go—Oh doubt
from whence you came,
And don’t
forget my earthly name.
For when you
come again to me.
You’ll stay
less time before you flee.
For Christ, my
Savior is molding me
Into what I
need to be.
